The Date is Set!
Well, its official...Miss Addison Claire will be making her grand debut on December 29. We check in the hospital at 6 am and hopefully it won't take too long to meet her! At my apppointment yesterday, Addie weighed 6 pounds, 4 oz. I fully expect by the 29th for her to be almost 8 pounds, since they say babies gain almost a pound a week at the end. Its hard to believe that after all these months of excitement its finally time!
This will be my last pregnancy and I get a little sad thinking that I will never feel those little kicks and squirms again. But, its a feeling that you never forget and hopefully when I am old and gray will still remember how it felt to feel my babies kick in my tummy. We are so lucky that God has chosen us to be parents to Cole and Addie. We feel so blessed and our little family will be complete once Addie arrives.
I have two weeks to finish up the nursery, cleaning, and little odds and ends that I want done because I know once baby girl gets here, there will not be much time for things like that. Not to mention the remainder of my Christmas shopping! I am really happy with how her nursery is turning out. I can't wait to post some some pics. We are doing the vinyl wall art in her room. Although its been more time consuming than we anticipated, its really cool!
I will post a final pic soon...a 38 week belly bump!

Thanksgiving 2010
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone (sorry its a day late!) It may have been the warmest Thanksgiving I can remember in a long time, but it was a wonderful day spent with two amazing families! First, we had lunch with my in-laws. My mother-in-law is the best cook! Cole and my nephew Carter enjoyed some football time outside! Then we went to my family for a late lunch. Even though I was already stuffed, I managed to find room to enjoy my favorites...turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and pecan pie! And ofcoures, what more could you ask for with Thanksgiving dinner than a Saints game too! As usual, the Saints keep you holding on till the last few seconds to see if they can pull out a win! When we finally got home last night, I had just enough energy to put my two Christmas trees up! Now, they are not decorated, but they are up. I will post some pics later of the finished project!

Addie's Crib
We finally have the nursery cleaned out (minus a few things!)and Addie officially has a crib! I just had to put her bedding on to see how it would look in her room and I love it! We also ordered a new changing table and hopefully, we will have it this week. Now to decide on curtains, decor, etc...it's hard to decide when there is so much cute stuff out there!

28 Weeks, Fair, and a Pumpkin Patch
I thought I would take time to blog about everything thats been going on. I am now 28 weeks and counting! I can't believe how much closer I am getting to my due date. At my last appointment, Addie weighed 2 pounds, 6 ounces. I could not believe how much she had grown! She has the longest legs, big hands, and likes to wiggle her booty! We are all very excited to meet her! I go back in two weeks for my last normal appointment then its weekly until I deliver. I am at that point where I am uncomfortable because I am carrying her low. My baby belly is sticking straight out and getting bigger by the day. I am pretty sure it may become a weapon before its all over!
This is my favorite time of year....FALL! Cool weather, football games, and yes, the annual fair! The recent cool spell has been so wonderful and just in time for fair week. Although I'm pretty sure our night at the fair has led to my head cold, it was well worth it to see my lil man have fun. Driving up he could see all the lights on the rides and I wish I had taken a picture of his face. He was a little scared of the rides this year, but he really enjoyed picking the ducks out of the water to win a prize. He is definately my child...his and my absolute favorite part of the fair is COTTON CANDY!! And, might I add that the cotton candy was absolutely wonderful this year!
Anderson Pumpkin Farm opened this weekend and it was such a beautiful day to walk around at the pumpkin patch. My mom and I enjoyed taking Cole to look at all the pumpkins and decorations, even if we did have a 3-year old meltdown tantrum. Going somewhere with Cole these days is hit and miss because of this 3-year old phase he is in. Today was one of those days, but I did manage to get a few good pics before he went on total shutdown mode! Happy Fall!

23 Weeks
I am officially 23 weeks nows and growing! I really do love being pregnant (except for all the fatigue!) So far my pregnancy is going great. The only minor complication is that I have a low lying placenta. Worst case scenario, I will have to have a c-section, but whatever has to be done to make sure my sweet baby arrives healthy is fine with me. Addison is growing and weighs over 1 pound now. She has the longest legs...definately going to take after her brother! We brought Cole with us for the ultrasound on Wednesday. I thought it would be cool for him to see the baby sister we always talk about. Well, he didn't like it. He thought they were hurting me and it upset him. He told the ultrasound tech numerous times "Take that gel off my mommy's tummy!" At one point he looked at Paul and said "Daddy, I just want a dog!" I guess he thinks if we get a dog it wouldn't hurt mommy! I think its so sweet that he's so protective of me :)
Now, my only disappointment is that her room is not ready. Finding the time to work on her room after a day at work, playtime with Cole, and supper is not easy. We still have plenty of time since she won't be here till December, but there is just something about being able to walk into a nursery that is so soothing. I long to be able to sit in my rocker and just look at her sweet crib...imagining how sweet she will be laying there. I love to go through her closet everyday and look at all the sweet clothes she has and imagine all the cute pictures I am going to take! I am so excited about her changing table...we custom ordered from the local wood place. Once it comes in they will stain it to match her crib.
Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!

18 Weeks
Here I am at 18 weeks with my baby girl bump! I am feeling great...no more nausea thank goodness! My favorite foods (sweets!) give me heartburn so I have learned to carry around Tums and Zantac. Miss Addison already has a closet full of clothes. I just can't help it...little girl clothes are soooo cute!

And Her Name Is....
It's official...Baby Cryer will be Miss Addison Claire! I am so excited and ready to start the monogramming! My great-grandmother would be so proud to know that she will have her name...although with the name comes a fiesty personality! I can't wait to meet her!

It's A Girl
I am so excited to write that we found out on Thursday we are having a baby girl! All I can think about is pink, pink, pink! I may drive my hubby crazy before she gets here, but I just can't wait to buy bows, dresses, and shoes! We didn't care if the baby was a boy or girl, as long as they were healthy. But, I must say we are equally excited about having a daughter!
We still have not decided on a name yet so for right now we just call her Baby Girl Cryer! She will either be Addison or Claire. Both equally beautiful names, but deciding which one is perfect for my baby girl is hard! I am a little partial to Addison because its a family name. My hubby says we should just wait until we meet her to decide, but I told him no way...too many things to be monogrammed between now and her arrival!
As soon as we decide on a name I will definately post. And, when I can get my scanner to work I have some cute ultrasound pics of Baby Girl Cryer to share!

Vacation 2010
Vacation is always hard for us because we can never decide where to go! This would be our last vacation with our family of three so we really wanted to make it special for Cole. Our first choice was our favorite vacation spot, Destin, Florida. Cole hasn't been since he was one so I knew it would be fun! However, the oil spill in the Gulf left a shadow of doubt on our beach plans so we decided to go somewhere new, Sea World in San Antonio.
We stopped along the way in Houston to take Cole to the zoo. They have a dinosaur exhibit that opened this summer and we just knew that our little dinosaur-lovin boy would love it! Not to mention all the other cool animals he would get to see. The rain put a slight damper on our zoo trip, but we made the best of it. To our surprise, Cole was scared of the dinosaurs! He did enjoy looking at the other animals and taking a ride on the zoo carousel.
Sea World was amazing! We still are not sure who had more fun, us or Cole! There are so many neat things to do, like feeding dolphins, splashing at the water park, and all the cool shows. Not to mention the rides! Every morning Cole would wake up and ask was it time to go to Sea World! Our hotel was very cool too. Each night we were able to roast marshmallows (or make smores!)in the courtyard and watch a movie. Definately a family friendly hotel! Even more exciting was that another family we know was also staying at the same hotel. Cole got to play with his "girlfriend" Isabella and her brother Jayden!
Our trip was absolutely wonderful! We can't wait to go back! I ended up coming home with 392 pictures on my camera. I will post just a few for yall to see!

Flashback Friday
13 Weeks
Today I am officially 13 weeks prego! I survived the first trimester of being tired, sick, and cranky all the time! I am so excited to have a burst of energy and not have that instant feeling of nausea when I wake up each morning. The next few weeks are going to be so exciting...seeing my baby bump grow, feeling the baby kick for the first time, and most importantly, finding out what my little angel is going to be! As of right now, my ultrasound to determine the gender is scheduled for my birthday week (the week of August 13). My aunt is a RN at the local hospital and she has a friend who is willing to ultrasound us at 16 weeks, which falls mid July. So I have to decide if I want to wait for a cool birthday present or end my weeks of anticipation a little sooner!
Cole is getting more excited each day about the baby. He asks to see "his baby" daily and always gives a little rub and a kiss. Its one of the sweetest moments ever to see him do that. He isn't sure yet if he wants a sister, brother, or a dog! I told him the dog is not an option and he gives us the craziest look as if to say "why?" As each day passes, I do get a little sad because its one day less with my family of 3. I wonder sometimes if its possible to love another little person as much as I love my Cole man, but when I look at my ultrasound pics my heart just melts.
My baby bump has finally popped out! Now, its not big, but I did have to switch over to the ever so comfortable prego pants! I will have to post a pic of my little bump soon. I have to admit I am looking forward to seeing my big baby bump! The name game has begun. We have our girl's name, but not sure on the order. Maybe some of you can offer some advice. Addison Claire is our name. But, we have toyed with the idea of Claire Addison. That way we would have a Cole and Claire and wouldn't break the Cryer grandkid tradition of "C" names...Chloe, Carter, and Cole! What do you guys think? As for a boy...thats gonna be a hard one. The only name we can mutually agree on is Jackson. Maybe since we are certain on a girls name, we will have a girl!

Our Family is Expanding
This has been such a awesome week for my family! We found out on Tuesday that we are going to have a baby. We were so surprised! I am 5 weeks and my due date is January 1, 2011. I can't wait to see my little "peanut" on the ultrasound in May. I think Cole is excited. He has put in his request for a little sister. A little girl would be nice, but I just want a healthy baby. We bought this cute little shirt for Cole to wear back during the summer incase we got pregnant. So, we dressed him in his little shirt last night and off we went to our parent's and family to spread the good news! The look of surprise and excitement was on everyones face as they discovered from his shirt that he was going to be a big brother :)

King of the Potty
I thought this picture was too cute not to share! We are working on potty training and can say its been a challenge! From this experience I have learned little boys are not going to potty until they are ready...no questions asked! Cole has finally decided he was ready and loves to pick out which pair of "big boy" underwear he will wear each day! Paul took this picture of him and all I can say is its a typical man...gotta read on the potty!
Fun at the Park
We decided to have a fun evening with Cole so we took him to the city park to play! His favorite thing to do right now is swing or slide. He used to be afraid to climb the ladder of the slide, but I guess he's growing up! He even talked his daddy into riding one of the toys too! Afterwards, we had Cole's favorite, chicken nugget happy meal from McDonalds! He was so excited because he got a dragon from "How To Train Your Dragon" in his happy meal :)
He's really concentrating...look at that tongue!

Happy New Year!
Ok, I am so behind on my blogs. I really don't have an excuse other than to say I was so lazy during my two weeks off for Christmas that I didn't do much on the computer! I am always happy and sad to see a new year...sad to say goodbye to a year full of memories but excited to see what the new year will bring to our family and friends. I can't believe how much Cole has changed in a year. I am sad to say that he has lost his "baby" look. But, I love the little boy he is becoming...red hair, dimples, and a smile that melts my heart! Paul and I love this little man and he makes our world fun and complete. Did I mention how smart he is? He amazes us everyday with how much he is learning...as Mrs. Penny would say, "he is the best of both, smart and cute!"
I never make new year's resolutions because I don't keep them. But, I am inspired by a few things...cooking, photography, and family. A special person gave me a cookbook for Christmas that incorporates all of the above. My cookbook, The Pioneer Woman, is AWESOME! The Pioneer Woman is a cook, photographer, and a stay at home mom...so you can imagine how unique this cookbook is. Her book has inspired me and I have enjoyed reading about her family as well as her recipes and amazing pictures!
My super cool hubby bought me Photoshop Elements 8 for Christmas...yay! Now, I will admit...I squealed when I opened that gift because I have wanted PSE for sooooo long! Paul was so happy because he was hoping for that reaction! I bought PSE for Dummies so I can read up on my new program and hopefully be able to use it soon. Its pretty complex, but I am determined to put that amazing program to use with my pictures! Paul and I want to take a photography class. Paul has wanted us to have a hobby together and I think we found it! He really has an eye for the perfect photo and we have the perfect little person to take lots of pictures of...stay tuned for some Cryer family photos :)
I love my family! I am so blessed to have been born into a wonderful family and marry into one too! My family inspires me. We hope to expand our little family soon. I think Cole will be a super cool "big brother". I would love a little girl (everyone think pink!), but two little boys will be precious! We do need lots of prayers because expanding the family hasn't been that easy. But, I know that's just gonna make our new baby even more special when they get here!
Happy New Year to all of you! I hope that God continues to bless you and your families as he has ours :)
